Construction Planning & Programme

My background in site management is what underpins the way I approach construction planning. I’ve spent years managing live sites, coordinating trades, sequencing work around real-world constraints, and dealing with the day-to-day realities that don’t always show up on a Gantt chart. That experience means I don’t just produce programmes that look good on paper — I build them around how projects actually run on site.

I understand the pressure that comes with managing labour, materials, client expectations, and subcontractor performance. I know where delays creep in, what slows a job down, and what a good week on site really looks like. This insight feeds directly into the way I plan, from setting realistic durations to flagging potential constraints early on.

My goal is always to create a clear, logical programme that site teams can actually build from. I also stay close to delivery — whether that’s tracking progress, updating lookaheads, or supporting site teams with reliable data and reporting to identify project risks and mitigate delays.

My goal working with housing associations and registered providers is to provide independent programme oversight across new build and regeneration schemes — acting as a second set of eyes on delivery.

I focus on progress assurance, programme health, and early risk identification — giving clients a clearer view of what’s happening on site and where the real risks lie. Whether it’s a contractor falling behind programme, sequencing issues, or gaps in reporting, I help clients get ahead of problems before they impact handover.

I don’t just review the contractor’s programme, I test it. I challenge logic, look at sequencing, check for float, and assess whether the plan aligns with the site conditions and procurement realities. My monthly reports are designed to be practical and easy to act on by highlighting what’s on track, what’s slipping, and where to focus attention.

My experience managing residential construction means I understand how delivery plays out on the ground and how that translates into risk for a client. I bring that insight into every monitoring report, site review, and client meeting.

It’s not about ticking boxes, it’s about making sure you have the right information to protect your programme, your budget, and ultimately, your developments.
